About Us

WELCOME TO THE ENGLISH ACADEMY

The English Academy was opened in September 1993. Final approval was not received until April of that year, and much hard work was required to have the building ready for the 18th of September. An Arabic Private School that had not been used for three years was rented and work began. In the space of three short, hot months repairs were carried out, walls painted, wiring replaced, plumbing repaired, windows mended, furniture bought, staff recruited, books ordered, flowers planted and the English Academy was born awaiting only the arrival of the pupils.

The Vision of The English Academy is to be considered an outstanding school. This will be gauged through both the BSO accreditation standards and other generally accepted international education benchmarks.

EYFS

In the Early Years at TEA we believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience in which our children are able to investigate, create, discover, problem solve and consolidate their skills and understanding.

SECONDARY

Our Secondary school curriculum is designed to provide world-class learning and study opportunities for our students. Based on the National Curriculum of England and complemented by our rich programmes in Arabic, Islamic Studies and PSHE.

KEY STAGE 1

Here at TEA, we follow the English 2014 National Curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of our students. Our team strives to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, providing fun, interactive and learning environments for each and every child.

6TH FORM

A wide range of IAS and IAL programmes of study are available.

KEY STAGE 2

UNIVERSITY DESTINATIONS

When students conclude their Sixth Form studies they continue their learning by enrolling in a university to study at a higher level.
